Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 ½ cubes butter
  • 1 bunch celery, chopped
  • 2 loaves white bread, day old
  • 1 lb. sausage (ground) Farmer John
  • 2 quarts chicken stock Sausage, Jimmy Dean
  • 2 T Poultry Seasoning

Method

    Melt butter in skillet. Add onion & celery. Cook until tender. Remove from skillet and add sausage. Once sausage is browned, drain off excess fat. Add sausage to onion and celery mixture in 9x13 glass dish. I Soak each piece of bread individually, squeeze liquid out and break into pieces in a large bowl. Add onion, celery, and sausage mixture. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour. The trick is to turn the dressing every 15 min so all pieces get brown and crispy!
