I found this recipe in the Children’s Friend magazine when I was in the 2nd grade, and I have been making these ever since!

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 1. Grease 12 muffin tin cups generously with shortening. Set tins in refrigerator to
  • get cold.
  • 2. Mix all ingredients together in blender or with wire whisk.
  • 3. Fill cold muffin tin cups with equal amounts of batter.
  • 4. Place in cold (unheated) oven. Turn on oven to 450 degrees. Bake 25 minutes. Do NOT open oven during this time!
  • 5. Remove from oven and pierce each popover with a toothpick to release steam.
  • 6. Delicious warm with butter and honey or jam.
