Method

  1. 01

In a large bowl put chocolate bars, chocolate chips, and butter. In a heavy sauce pan, combine sugar, milk, and 2 1/2 cups mini marshmallows. Bring this to a boil over medium heat. Stir CONSTANTLY. Continue to cook at a light, steady boil for 7 minutes. Don’t stop stirring! You are getting your arm workout in for the day! Remove the mix from the heat and pour it over the chocolate and butter in the bowl. Stir it all together and continue to beat it until it loses some of its shine. Again- don’t stop stirring! Add frozen marshmallows, vanilla and nuts. Stir until well-mixed, but if you stir too much, you will dissolve the marshmallows. Butter a cookie sheet and spread the fudge on the cookie sheet. Spread it evenly and allow it to cool- we usually put it in the cool garage or on the porch! Variations: Last year we got a little crazy and made some variations! I loved the Dark Chocolate fudge, but be advised it is RICH! Swap out dark chocolate bars and dark chocolate chips. Yum. The other version we loved was the peppermint version. Add 1 t of peppermint along with the vanilla and it brings a whole new dynamic. You and all your neighbors, friends, co-workers, wardies will love this!
