These are really good if you’re feeling too lazy to make separate cookies. Some of my friends and family have actually told me they prefer this to my normal chocolate chip cookies (even though I can’t fathom how the taste is much different- I think it might be a texture thing)!
01
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Butter (the extra TBSP is never
- Dash of maple extract (couple of drops) harmful if you like it a bit richer)
- 1 tsp of Salt
- 3⁄4 cup of White Sugar
- 1 tsp (plus a scant) of Baking Soda
- 3⁄4 cup of Light Brown Sugar
- 2 ¼ cup Flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 bag of Chocolate Chip cookies
- 1-2 tsp of Vanilla Extract Walnuts or pecans are always a good addition to this as well

Preheat oven to

Grab a 9x11 glass baking pan (metal ones are poor for this because they don't continue the cooking process once outside of the oven and tend to overcook the top layer of the bar) and spray with any anti sticking thing, or butter the pan. Cream the butter with the sugars, then add the eggs and extracts till they’re mixed well. Add the salt and BS (get your head out of the gutter) and mix. Add the remaining ingredients. If the dough seems a little too wet, don't be afraid to add more flour to tighten it up a bit, but adding too much will make the bars dry so be warned (usually 1-2 palmsful of flour are enough to make it comfortably dry). Add the dough to the pan and spread. Bake for 20-25 min at 350, or until slightly browned on top. Like the cookies, the bars WILL be doughy and may be a little jiggly when you take them out despite the well-colored exterior. Unless you want horribly disfigured bars, allow these to cool for at least 10-15 min to allow the cooking process to finish and for good looking cuts to be a possibility. Enjoy!
